Dropping off chaos

Monday, December 29, 2014; Storyline

I seemed to be in my astral body floating freely in space. The scene before me was a bright orange and red nebula, a heavens-filling collage of fiery colors in reds, yellows and oranges. The intense brightness was surrounded by a vast amount of faded blues, purples and blackness. Stars of all sizes filled the sky both in and around the nebula. Even in its stillness, no pictures could ever do it justice.

Although I seemed to be bodiless I felt my heart beating rapidly against my chest. Anxiety tried to overwhelm me and I had to breathe to counter is affects. As I stared into the brightness I began to pick out small specks in the lower part. These looked like well formed black X’s and plus signs. The more I stared, the more I could see others appearing in the background.

While new specks were showing up, the older ones grew in size and length. As they grew, they ascended; I then realized they were moving my way. Thousands filled the sky and took on a new more understandable appearance—they were star-ships, all similar in their main body, crossed-sectioned. They soon passed by me, all of a dull zinc color and the size of large ocean-going vessels. Others followed, up two to three times as large.

Thousands passed as thousands more drifted from the now hidden nebula. Looking back to where they were coming from, one spot caught my attention. Like the others it held the crossed main body style but even at the distance I could tell it was massive. It soon blocked out the nebula and everything in front of me. The diameter had to be hundreds or more miles wide. Hundreds or more of the other ships flew next to it but all of them together could not match the mass of this one ship. The stretch of the ship was more than my mind could comprehend and while the front had passed from my view, the rear was yet in sight.

Before the rear of the ship came into view I felt a pulling sensation on my head, suddenly my view changed to a large room with a man stepping away from me. A helmet he was holding blocked his face until he sat it down on a desk. I then realized the helmet had been on me and he had pulled it off.

“Did you see?” he asked, directing the question to me.

“The ships? Yes, who are they?”

“They are coming to help us,” he answered.

“We have so many problems, which one are they helping us with?”

“All of them, follow me,” he said.

He led me from the large room to a smaller one perhaps twelve by twelve feet. The floor of the room was covered in what looked to be smooth light brown balls from grapefruit size down to BB sized or smaller. From the door where we stood was a path down the middle of the room to another door on the other side. The balls had been swept to each side and piled up along the walls about five feet high. I bent down and picked up one of the larger ones. It was soft like a sponge and a bit sticky; when I squeezed the ball it crumbled apart like dry dough. I understood then why they could stay stacked at an angle without rolling back to the middle of the floor.

“What is this stuff?” I asked.

“Whatever we need it to be,” he responded. “Placing it into the 3-D printers, we can make building materials for everything, from homes to cars. It can also be made into any fuel we need without the CO2 and other pollutants. It will even bring an end to world hunger because we can process it as any food we want, be it vegetable or meat.”

“There doesn’t seem like enough here,” I mentioned.

“It’s not,” he replied, “this is just a sampling. The largest ship you saw is the vat ship. It grows the cargo between worlds.

“So they will be making regular runs to earth, dropping off this stuff?” I asked.

“No, it’s a one time drop. They will then grow more while going on to the next world.”

“I can see that massive ship holding enough to do all you say, once they distribute it but even with its size, it could only supply a few years worth.”

“They won’t be distributing, they will be dropping off. You see, what they have is a single item, a sea creature.”

“So these sea creatures will breed in our oceans?”

“No, as I said, there’s only one. The vat ship grows the animal which is just as large as the ship.”
I was stunned at his reply.

“That’s impossible! That ship had to be hundreds of miles long and nearly a hundred or more wide,” I exclaimed.

“The ship is much longer than you think—as for the creature, it’s well over a thousand miles long and just over one hundred miles wide,” he assured me.

“Isn’t that going to have a huge effect on the ocean? How are we supposed to catch something that size?” I had many other questions running through my mind but luckily he cut me off and explained.

“The creature doesn’t have any mind or nervous system. Although it is an animal, it lives more like a fungus. We’ll use sonar to lure the thing until it beaches itself miles off shore. Then countries can begin carving off what they need to live on. The creature will absorb its nutrition from the ocean which in turn regenerates itself.”

“Still, something that large will have to have an impact on the ocean,” I commented.

“No worse than what we’re doing. This will stop the depletion of life in water and land and we’ll never have to pump out oil or cut down forest.”

Before I could say anything else, the already gray sky began to darken even more. I watched out a large bay window at the low clouds hanging over the ocean. They started to bulge heavily from horizon to horizon. Something was pushing through, so large that the clouds could not move past fast enough and seem to be squished into the ocean waters. At first I thought the lab we were in was sinking but then it came to me that the ocean was swelling. Like the clouds, the water displacement had not been quick enough and the bulge turned into a massive tidal-wave. I began to panic and backed away from the window.

“Don’t worry,” the man said, “this isn’t just a lab but a ship. I built it just for this.”

I watched as the tidal wave washed over the shore and swept us up. I grabbed onto a table as the room tilted and suddenly rose up the wave. We bobbed through the water then when I looked over to the man, there were controls and a wheel used for guiding the lab or ship. I moved back over to the window next to the man. The room still had a tilt and I could see that we were riding the tidal-wave. The wave must have been two-hundred feet high or more, but above it was a wall of alternating bronze and dark brown that ran from left to right until it curved out of sight. The top rose just above the tidal wave several hundred feet and curved back to the horizon.

“Here’s what you’re looking at,” said the man. He pointed to a monitor over to my right, hanging head high. At first I thought I was looking at a snake swimming through the water, but then I realized it was the alien creature. The picture was not pulled back far enough to see the entire being but I could see the head and part of its main body. It had a strong resemblance to Coast garter snake although the earth version has a green head, this creature had the orange and black colors and patterns from its head down the body. As its body slowly moved laterally in wave-like movements, each ripple it produced was a tidal wave.

I thought about the impact this was going to have on the coastal residents and wondered if people had been forewarned.

“Have the coast lines been evacuated?” I asked.

“No one has. I did not want the big corporations to get wind of this and try to shut me down,” he said.

“But people need to know about the tidal-waves and the military is going to flip out once they see this thing in the water,” I yelled at him.

He stayed calm and kept his focus on the creature and staying ahead of the tidal-wave. “The aliens disabled the military on every continent before they left. Right now my only concern is having the creature follow us so we can beach it along the coast.”

With the military gone and coast lines being hit by floods possibly miles into areas, the impact on world society was going to be devastating. This one man had made a judgment call that was going to place the world in chaos. It now dawned on me that the world would be coming to him for their needs since he had the only printer that could reconstruct the alien creature’s meat, for the world’s needs.

I turned and ran to the front of the ship out onto the open deck. I was hoping I could find land or a ship where I’d be able to contact someone that could help. Outside we were still sliding down the ever lasting tidal wave in front of the creature. It was only water and clouds as far as I could see and I stood there until I awoke.

Toady

During this night, I had three separate dreams, all on the same subject. My subconscious is pushing hard to get a message across.

Saturday, December 6, 2014
First dream;
I was starring in a comedy that ran two seasons, surprised in the dream that it lasted one episode. The show was about construction workers, mainly crane operators. As a half-hour comedy, the show aired for two seasons.
One day between shots, a co-star approached me. “I heard this is the last episode— we’ve been canceled.”
I had been leaning against an engine prop of a crane and shrugged my shoulders.
“I’m not surprised. I didn’t even expect the show to go past its pilot. I never thought it was that funny to begin with so, I’ve been preparing myself for this since then.”
I could tell he was upset over the news. The break ended and we returned to the set.

Second dream;
I was asleep in the bed when my phone rang, I looked over at the clock to see—it was 2:00 am.
“Hello,” I answered groggily. I heard my co-worker’s voice from the the other end.
“Hey William, does Virginia have toads?”
“Toads? You mean like frogs?”
“Yeah. I’m looking for a toad,” he said.
“Who’s calling so early?” my wife asked.
“A co-worker,” I informed her. She shook her head and got out of bed heading to the bathroom. I continued the conversation with my co-worker.
“Why are you asking?”
“I want a toad for a pet. Where can I find one?” he asked.
I could not believe he had awakened me for this; he sounded sober.
“Around creeks, ponds and ditches,” I snapped.
“Great, thank you!” he said excitedly and hung up. I set the phone down and went back to sleep.

Third dream;
I was carrying a five-gallon aquarium across the yard. Inside, I set up a terrarium for a toad and five of its tadpoles. The water sloshed around and suddenly all the tadpoles were propelled out. They fell into the grass, and I set the tank down in hopes of finding them. After some delicate searching, I found each one and replaced it back into the tank.

Being on TV suggests that there is something I want to broadcast to the whole world to express myself, (my blog)
A co-worker in my dream (that is not my coworker in life), pertains to some psychological business that I need to work on. (opening up more)
To see and hear the telephone (my subconscious) signifies I need to listen to a message. My co-worker, in this case real, places my focus on the subject (the toad).
A “toad” suggests that I am hiding my true self and should be obligated to opening up more to my audience. The tadpoles mean that I have not reached my full potential, keeping them all in an aquarium avoids changes, repeating or just running in circles. “Five” represents my need to take a new path. Spilling the tadpoles, (freed) and finding the slippery critters, “Don’t let this opportunity slip through your hands.”
In a nutshell: the message is directed to the part of “expandurmind” my followers see of me, a general audience, cautious, kind of guy. To really make myself and my blog grow, I need to expose the psychological darker side of my dreams, out-of-body experiences and me.

One

The following dream is a good representation of my current life. I’ve broken down the meaning at the end.

Sunday, December 4, 2015

I was standing in the office of a former employer hoping to get hired back into the company. He handed me a photograph of an airport, the type that only allowed the flights of small planes. The background was thick with trees and the on the side closest was a field of green grass. From the camera’s view I could just see the long stretch of concrete that made up the runway. At the top corner of the page was scrawled $75,000.

“I need you to go look at this job and tell me if we can replace the runway for that amount,” my former boss said.

“Where is it?” I asked.

“Just go out to the road here,” he pointed to the door outside, “and follow it. It goes right by the airport. If you get me the information back by the end of the day you have the job.”

I handed the photograph back to him and left his office. It was early morning, and the sun had yet to rise. I walked over to my car which had a bicycle hooked onto the back. Since I had become such a health nut, I decided it would be better and more fun to ride the bike out to the site and take a look.

The bicycle had one wheel like a unicycle; however, attached between the seat and wheel was a bar that stretched out in front and curved upwards leading to a set of handlebars. I hopped on the seat and began peddling down the road, briefly battling to get the bike stable.

Once I had the bike in control I began to take in my surroundings. Even though it was dark I could still see quite a few yards around me. The road was smooth and narrow, lined with trees on the left and right, although the trees to the right were set further off from the road where there were some homes and small businesses. The sound of something bouncing through the woods to my left caused me to stop. Soon a deer jumped out into the middle of the road, spotting me; it came to a stop and stared to see what I was going to do. I was more shocked than the deer because of its deformity. The deer which, I soon saw was an antelope, had a normal head and small horns but a tiny body connected to a single leg in the middle of its torso.

Seconds after it had stopped, the antelope continued across the road to the right, bounding away on that single leg. Across the street was a small store, still closed, that the antelope ran down to. At the back of the store grew a short field of grass up to the trees. The antelope stopped at the edge of the grass and collapsed. He curled the single leg up under himself and rested. I stood there in the road staring at the animal, wondering how it could survive.

I had a job to do so I continued biking on down the road, leaving the antelope behind. Some time passed and daylight filled the sky. I was enjoying the biking, the solitude and the environment I was traveling through to the point that I had not realized it was late afternoon. I began to panic, wondering if I had passed the site, and hoping someone could give me directions, I stopped at a small convenience store to my right.

In the parking lot a mother and daughter were coming out of the store. I pulled up next to their car as they were getting in and asked if they knew where I could find the airport. The mother informed me that I had passed it many miles back. My job depended on my getting the information back to my boss that afternoon. By the time I could get back to the job site, my company’s office would be closed. I would have to make up the time by biking back as fast as possible.

I was just about to take off when I heard a couple voices calling, “Daddy” from behind. I turned to see my two sons, who are adults now, but in the dream were around five years of age. I explained to them what I had to do, and we needed to hurry back. My so-called hurrying was moving only as fast as my slowest son.

After a short time both began to whimper about the tiredness of their small legs trying to keep up. Both could not ride on the bike with me, so I figured I could carry one on my back at a time, allowing him to rest and then switch out every so often.

Coming to a stop, I realized I had my backpack on. I knew then it would be impossible to carry either one of them. I walked the bike and the boys to the side of the road, and we sat down in the grass to rest. I knew that by the time I got back to my car it would be late evening and my chances of getting the job were zero. My sons lay down in the grass one on each side of me and fell asleep. Soon after I awoke.

Defining the dream
Everything in an unconscious dream is a symbol to the clue of that dreams meaning. Every symbol also has several answers. How do you know which to choose from? Think of it as a mental puzzle. There are multiple on-line dream dictionaries, I just happen to like, dreammoods.com and use it 90% of the time. If I cannot find an answer there, I use dreamhawk.com and/or curiousdreamer.com.

I actually copy and paste the entire meaning of the dream. Then I go through each line and delete those that are not in my personality or have nothing to do with the current dream and keep what corresponds to the other symbols of that dream; it does take some time. If you have the patience to read through, the meaning of this dream and its breakdown (in order) is below. Regular print is copy and paste, edited from dreammoods.com. Italics in parentheses are my notes.

To stay true to my audience, I’m not being totally forthcoming in defining this dream. A few meanings I kept out because they are very personal, and I’m not ready or wanting to divulge them here.

Work- Dreaming that you are at your former work suggests that there is an old lesson that you need to learn and apply to your current situation.

Photograph- To see a photograph in your dream means that you are clinging on to some false hope. Consider who or what is on the photo. The image may be trying to take you back to a particular moment in time. (The airport in the photo was one my parents lived by when I was 14. Check out my editorial in, “Day of the dragonfly”).

Numbers-To see numbers in your dream symbolize that you need to evaluate a situation more thoroughly. Numbers also carry much personal significance to only you.

(always break numbers down, 75,000)
7- The number seven may also refer to the seven chakras (I need to be more in tune with my energies).

5- The umber five may reflect a change in your path or that you need to alter your course.

0- Zero symbolizes emptiness. You are experiencing a void in your life. Your actions have been counterproductive.

(add up each digit of numbers)
7+5+0+0+0+0= 12
12- Represents cycles and repetition.

1+2=3- Three signifies life, vitality, inner strength, completion, imagination, creativity, energy, self-exploration and experience. (a good description of my energies)

1- Signifies solitude or loneliness. (The one road I traveled, the bike with one wheel, the Antelope with one leg).

Bicycle- (the reason I called this a bicycle and not a unicycle, is due to it had handlebars). To dream that you are riding a bicycle signifies your desires to attain a balance in your life. You need to balance work and pleasure in order to succeed in your current undertakings. If you have difficulties riding the bicycle, (one wheel) then it suggests that you are experiencing anxieties. You need to devote time to leisurely pursuits and recreation.

Road- (this fits the description of the road in my dream). To see a road in your dream refers to your sense of direction and how you are pursuing your goals. If the road is dark, then it reflects the controversial or more frightening choices which you have made or are making. If the road is smooth and bordered by trees or flowers, then it denotes a steady progress and steady climb up the social ladder. If the road is straight and narrow, then it means that your path to success is going as planned. To see an unknown road in your dream represents a path that has not been ventured. You are setting a new precedence for something.

Antelope- To see an antelope in your dream suggests that your high ambitions will only be achieved through a great expenditure of energy, (the 7 chakras). You will experience much success as a result of your dedication.

Children- To dream that your own grown children are still very young indicates that you still see them as young and dependent. You want to feel needed and significant.
